Independence Lake Trail

Tahoe National Forest Nevada, California Sierraville Ranger District

Construct ~3 mile pedestrian trail in Independence Lake Basin near upstream confluence with Independence Creek to replace user-created route in sensitive fish habitat. Would be constructed to meet NFS standards and would be non-motorized use only.

Location

Located approximately 14 miles south of Sierraville and 16 miles south of Truckee, California within the Independence Lake Basin.
