The Project aims to mitigate the potential for high severity fire within the WUI while maintaining habitat and ecosystem services through a series of actions that address forest restoration, fuels reduction, habitat enhancement and roads management.

Location

The Five Creeks project area aligns with the Truckee River and the California state highway 89 corridor, South of the town of Truckee and North of Olympic Valley, approximately five miles Northwest of Lake Tahoe.
