Pre-commercial thinning operations will utilize chainsaws and hand tools in overstocked plantations on the Newport-Sullivan Lake Ranger District. No change in road access would occur as a result of this project.
Location
Primarily near Sand Creek Mountain west of Sullivan Lake, northwest of Ruby, WA and Ruby Mountain on the west side of the Pend Oreille River, and in areas near Tacoma Peak and Winchester Peak.
