Rock Creek Sapling Thinning and Underburning

Mt. Hood National Forest Wasco, Oregon Barlow Ranger District

Hand-thin and underburn approximately 1,215 acres of ponderosa pine/Oregon white oak and ponderosa pine/Douglas-fir stands. Only trees less than 8-inch diameter at breast height (DBH) would be removed.

Location

The project is in close proximity to the community of Sportsman's Park and may also include underburning on Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife managed land.
