Wenatchee Creek Prescribed Fire

Umatilla National Forest Asotin; Garfield, Washington Pomeroy Ranger District

Implement prescribed fire on approx. 7,600 acres to reduce ground fuel accumulations, tree densities, and ladder fuels. Reduce canopy biomass to historical levels, improve timber stand resistance to disease and insects, and improve wildlife forage.

Location

Area east of Forest road 40 from the junction of the 40 and 44 road. North of Monument Ridge. NW of Indian Tom Trail. South of road 43.
