Willamette National Forest Linn; Marion, Oregon Detroit Ranger District

The project proposed to commercially thin about 1200 acres of young second growth forests to enhance the growth and structural complexity of timber stands. Decision was withdrawn on August 12, 2011. New decision is expected in March 2012.

Location

the project area is bounded by Hall Ridge to the west, Detroit Lake to the south, the Opal Creek Scenic Recreation Area and Wilderness to the north and the French Creek Road (Road 2223) to the east.
