Armuchee Healthy Forests Project

Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest Chattooga; Floyd; Walker; Whitfield, Georgia Conasauga Ranger District

The project is designed to reduce the risk for southern pine beetle (SPB) infestations in over-crowded pine stands and restore the ecological integrity of those stands by moving them towards a more ecologically appropriate composition.

Location

Potential project areas would include National Forest System lands located on the Armuchee unit of the Conasauga Ranger District.
