The proposed action includes two component actions: - Construction of approximately 0.40 miles of new class 3 hiking trail. - Closure of approximately 0.25 miles of existing unsustainable trail.

Location

The Benton Mackaye Trail starts at Springer Mountain in Fannin County and traverses over 300 miles into Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina.
