Cherokee National Forest Polk, Tennessee Ocoee - Hiwassee Ranger District

Plant shortleaf pine and do mechanical release on approximately 200 acres in 15 units over the next 4-year period. The areas proposed for this treatment are areas where the existing forest was killed or severely damaged by the wildfires in 2012.

Location

Generally north of Highway 64 from NFSR 77 to west of Goforth Creek and South of Peavine Sheeds Road just west of Trail #61
