Proposal to thin or restore approx. 1,800 acres of unthinned pine plantations to reduce the risk of SPB infestation and spread by increasing vigor of retained trees and/or restoring a more resistant tree species to appropriate sites.

Location

The area is bounded on the west by Sandy Creek, on the South by the Homochitto River, on the East by Hwy. 33, and on the North by the Forest Boundary. Located approximately 4 miles SW of Roxie, MS.
