Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries & Parks is requesting a special use permit to construct an 84x30X16 metal open-pole shed for heavy equipment storage at the Caney Creek Wildlife Management Area (WMA) Headquarter.

7th SFG proposes to use 12 temporary 4'x2'x4' cache sites during semiannual training evalutions. Sites will be prepped prior to training exercises and restored immediatelly afterwards.

Removal of old facilities in poor condition that are no longer needed. Includes 2 pit toilets and stairs, tool shed, water spigots, and capping and removal of a decommissioned well.

This project is to install a temporary 8%u2019Wx20%u2019Lx8%u2019H wood awning with tin roof for use during dry fire exercises. An existing wall would be used to tie in the rafters and tin. Post will be 4x4, 24" in concrete, and 2x6 rafters.

Removal of a failing trail bridge, installation of a new bridge, and relocation of the trail to the new bridge location.

Repair of an erosion slide on NFS Road 102, including realigning the road both vertically and horizontally for an estimated distance of 600 feet.

Burial of an existing plastic gas line that currently sits on the surface between a gas well and tank battery.

The purpose of the project would be to grant Mr. Stevison road access to his private property that is landlocked by National Forest Service land. The access road would begin at the FS Road 206 and terminate at the private property/FS land.

The purpose of the project would be to grant Mr. & Mrs. Morgan road access that would begin at the Forest Service Road 205 to the non-system woods road and terminate at the private property/Forest Service boundary.

Burial of an existing plastic oil transfer line that currently sits on the surface between a well and tank battery.

The seismic operations would utilize the conventional shothole method for 3D seismic assessment. Surface area traversed on Forest would be 5,510 acres. No timber removal would occur. Some removal of brush would occur.

Move lines from interior forest areas to roads. Abandon 2.01 acres of existing right-of-way by removing poles and wires. Install new overhead lines along Daughdrill and D.E. Scarborough roads for a new easement area of 1.64 acres.

The De Soto National Forest is proposing to control known and future occurrences of non-native invasive plant infestations using a combination of manual, mechanical, cultural, and chemical treatment methods.

Proposal to improve recreation and fisheries management three lakes through activities such as control of aquatic invasive plants, fish stocking or species management, and liming/fertilization of the water.

Holly Springs National Forest is proposing treatment of approximately 1200 acres of Tornado damaged timber. The proposed treatment will salvage sales to reduce hazardous fuels and reduce the risk of disease and pest outbreak.

The Bienville National Forest is reviewing a proposal by Spooner Petroleum Company to conduct a 3D-seismic survey on National Forest Lands. The area involved encompasses approximately 6,000 acres located in the southwestern area of the Forest.

Analysis of the use of prescribed fire as a vegetation management tool on the Homochitto National Forest, including locations, general parameters, and timing/frequency of burns for fuel reduction and wildlife and vegetation management.

Initial control of an non-native invasive aquatic plant found on Okhissa Lake by application of glyphosate herbicide on approximately 3-5 acres surface acres.

Proposal to reroute approx. 1200 feet of the Richardson Creek Trail due to insect infestation making the current route unsafe.

Collect hydrological and water quality data in support of longleaf pine ecosystem & watershed restoration. Install a gauge house, 2-inch groundwater well, and rain gauge. Project duration is approximately 5 years.

Modification of Special Use Permit #HOM0152 to allow stabilization of a slide which endangers the roadbed of Berrytown Road. Project will include ground disturbance and stabilization up to 20' outside the current ROW in one location, approx 0.7 acres

Examination and analysis of approximately 12,950 acres of the Homochitto NF for natural resource needs and opportunities. Activities may include thinning, stand regeneration, wildlife habitat and recreation enhancement, road work, and other projects.

Evaluation and treatment of up to 3000 acres to reduce the risk of southern pine beetle infestation and spread. Activities include commercial harvest (clearcut with reserves, thinning), site prep, Rx burning, herbicide use, and road maintenance.

Proposal from Stroud Petroleum Inc. to drill an oil/gas well and conduct testing on Federal Lease MSES57605; improvement of a logging road; timber removal on ~3ac.; installation of production equipment/tanks and pipeline if needed.
