Washburn Red Pine Project

Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest Bayfield, Wisconsin Washburn Ranger District

Approximately 6000 acres of red pine stands across the Washburn District would be thinned to improve growth and vigor. In conjuction with thinning, in some areas thinning slash would be removed to reduce hazardous fuels.
