Greenwood Vegetation Project

Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest Bayfield, Wisconsin Washburn Ranger District

Vegetation and transportation management in the northern part of the District. Management actions would include clearcut and shelterwood systems to regenerate oak, aspen, and pine, and thinnings to promote growth and vigor in pine plantations.

Location

Project is located approximately seven miles northeast of Iron River, Wisconsin and in the Townships of Barksdale, Clover, Iron River, Keystone, Pilsen, Port Wing, Tripp, and Washburn.
