Black Torch Landscape Management

Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest Ashland; Sawyer, Wisconsin Great Divide Ranger District

This proposal would use timber management to move the forest towards the forest plan desired conditions. It would include timber harvest, prescribed burning, reforestation, modifications of the transportation system and wildlife habitat improvements.

Location

It is located east and south of Clam Lake, WI in Ashland and Sawyer counties; includes portions of townships Chippewa, Draper, Gordon, Marengo, Round Lake, Shanagolden, Spider Lake, and Winter.
