Bud Lake Woodcock Habitat Improvement Project

Chippewa National Forest Cass, Minnesota Walker Ranger District

Maintenance and improvement of 12 acres of woodcock habitat in the Portage Creek watershed. This includes shearing decadent alder and allowing it to regenerate. This project would be completed in winter under frozen ground conditions.

Location

South of Hwy 2 and north of Bud Lake on the north end of the Walker RD.
