The primary activity is harvesting and planting other tree species in ten lowland black ash stands to improve species diversity in anticipation of potential mortality by the emerald ash borer. Collaborative project with LLBO,MN DNR,County,USFS.

Location

Project is 10 black ash stands within CNF on Deer River and Walker Ranger Districts. Three stands are within the Leech Lake Reservation boundary.
