AuSable River Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Project

Huron-Manistee National Forests Alcona; Iosco, Michigan Huron Shores Ranger District

Placement of approximately 225 trees per acre along a ten mile stretch of the AuSable River. Multiple trees (5-15) will be used to create debris jams along the river banks to created aquatic habitat. Trees would be anchored in place along the river.

Location

Along the Au Sable river between Alcona Dam and Loud Pond.
