Purpose and Need is to move existing conditions toward Forest-wide goals and objectives, and the prescription for MP 2.1 found in the Forest Plan. It includes harvest and other vegetation treatments, as well as transportation and recreation elements.

Location

Carter County, Missouri. The nearest rural community is Van Buren, less than 1 mile east of the project area.
