Gauley Timber Stand Improvement Project

Monongahela National Forest Greenbrier; Nicholas; Webster, West Virginia Marlinton Ranger District

Non-commercial tree thinning would occur on an estimated 668 acres over the next ten years. The purpose is to release mast trees and other desirable tree species, to remove damaging vines, and maintain timber potential in early successional stands.

Location

Forty-three stands scattered throughout the Gauley Ranger District.
