Brushy Mountain Ruffed Grouse Habitat Management

Monongahela National Forest Greenbrier, West Virginia White Sulphur Ranger District

The proposal is to create early successional habitat scattered in the project area in order to create habitat for ruffed grouse. A variety of treatments are being considered, including clear-cutting, prescribed burning, and mulching.

Location

Sites are located within the Brushy Mountain Ruffed Grouse Management Area, directly northeast of White Sulphur Springs, WV.
