Dusky Habitat Enhancement Project

Chugach National Forest Valdez-Cordova, Alaska Cordova Ranger District

The purpose of the project is to thin spruce and cottonwood within dusky Canada goose nesting habitat, reducing predator perch sites thereby increasing nest success through predator deterrence and redistribution.

Location

The proposed project will take place in high-density dusky Canada goose nesting habitat on the west CRD near the Pete Dahl cutoff of the lower Alaganik River, about 20 miles from Cordova.
