This project is part of a broader spruce beetle mitigation strategy and involves removing dead/dying and live trees in four campgrounds to address forest health and to mitigate safety hazards stemming from the spruce beetle epidemic.

Location

Four campgrounds on the Kenai Peninsula: Crescent Creek, Cooper Creek, Quartz Creek and Tenderfoot. The total project area will not exceed 250 acres.
