North Kuiu Stream Restoration

This project proposes to use hand tools to install wood structures in four stream sites on North Kuiu Island, and to selectively thin alder to improve floodplain habitat and provide future wood recruitment to streams. (CZMA-FAA3)

Location

Saginaw, Kadake, and Rowan watersheds are located on North Kuiu Island, approximately 15 miles SW of Kake, and approximately 43 miles W of Petersburg
