Wesley Creek Restoration

Tongass National Forest Juneau, Alaska Juneau Ranger District

Reconstruct approximately 30 feet of stream bank at the West Glacier Trail crossing of Wesley Creek, an anadromous tributary of Mendenhall Lake. Stream banks on both sides of the channel will be reconstructed using a toe wood-sod matt technique.

Location

Wesley Creek is the first stream crossing from the West Glacier Trail head. It is located approximately 20 yards from the trail head.
