Petersburg Ranger District Riparian Thinning

Tongass National Forest Wrangell-Petersburg, Alaska Petersburg Ranger District

This project proposes to selectively thin previously-harvested conifer and alder stands in riparian areas adjoining Class I & II fish streams, where thinning would benefit the desired future condition of the site.

Location

All District watersheds containing previously-harvested young growth stands with Class I & II fish streams where thinning is compatible with LUD objectives.
