Slippery Fishpass Modification

Tongass National Forest Wrangell-Petersburg, Alaska Petersburg Ranger District

Move fishpass exit downstream and out of deposition zone so sediment and debris are washed away. Small blasting charges and rock chainsaw and hammer will be used to break up bedrock and make a new exit site (a 24" wide x 18" deep x 10' long trench).

Location

The Slippery Creek Fishpass is located approximately 0.75 miles above tidal influence on Slippery Creek. It is 36 air miles west of Petersburg in Port Camden on Kuiu Island.
