The objective is to treat up to 1,114 acres of young-growth stands on Mitkof Island to benefit deer. A variety of silvicultural treatments are being considered.

Lands associated with this project are located on Mitkof Island, Petersburg Ranger District, approximately 160 miles south of Juneau, Alaska.
