South Fork Saginaw Creek Restoration Project

Tongass National Forest Wrangell-Petersburg, Alaska Petersburg Ranger District

Proposal includes instream and riparian restoration on approx 0.6 mi of S Fork Saginaw Ck and up to 0.4 mi of Shorty Ck on Kuiu Is. These streams support populations of pink, chum and coho salmon, and steelhead, cutthroat trout and Dolly Varden char.

Location

Project area is located on the northern portion of Kuiu Island, approximately 12 air miles southeast of Kake and 39 miles northwest of Petersburg, Alaska.
