Upper Falls Creek Young-Growth Project

Tongass National Forest Wrangell-Petersburg, Alaska Petersburg Ranger District

The Tongass National Forest proposes to supply approximately 1 million board feet (MMBF) of young-growth timber from about 43 acres and construct temporary roads in the Falls Creek area of Mitkof Island on the Petersburg Ranger District.

Location

The project area is approximately 14 miles southeast of Petersburg, Alaska. The project area consists of 8,886 acres of National Forest System land and about 913 acres of land of other ownership.
