Point Louisa Picnic Site and Trail

Tongass National Forest Juneau, Alaska Juneau Ranger District

Propose to create a 225 sq ft gravel pad with a picnic table and metal fire ring at Point Louisa Beach. Also propose to gravel 670 ft of an unimproved trail along the peninsula to eliminate muddy areas and avoid resource damage.

Location

The project area is on the Point Louisa peninsula just southeast of the Auk Village Campground, 15 miles from downtown Juneau and 1.5 miles from the Alaska State Ferry Terminal at Auke Bay.
