Muri Creek Restoration

Tongass National Forest Sitka, Alaska Sitka Ranger District

Place about 150 trees within the stream channel, along stream banks and within the 88-acre floodplain of Muri Creek to reduce erosion and improve fish habitat. Implementation would use heavy equipment on approximately 1,200 feet of stream channel.

Location

Muri Creek is on Chichagof Island near Corner Bay, approximately 47 air miles NE of Sitka.
