Thomas Bay Tree Harvest for Log Culvert

Tongass National Forest Wrangell-Petersburg, Alaska Petersburg Ranger District

Harvest up to 8 old-growth trees within 300 feet of a National Forest System road. Trees would be used to construct a temporary log culvert stream crossing. After the structure is removed, the logs would be available to the public for purchase.

Thomas Bay on the mainland Alaska is approximately 16 air miles northeast of the community of Petersburg.
