Proponent has requested a right-of-way authorization for an existing road to allow all-season vehicle access for the reasonable use and enjoyment of his private property.

Long-term vegetation management of Jack Pine ecosystems. Multi-year forest-wide project designed to identify, develop, and maintain jack pine ecosystem for Kirtland's warbler habitat, and maintain or create fuelbreaks for neighboring infrastructure.

Develop formal access to the Eben Ice Caves through the establishment of a National Forest System trail from the ice caves to both the public and private access sites.

Make improvements to the existing water systems at Murray Bay, Juniper Flats, Mather Lodge, and Farrell Cottage. Installation of new wellhouses and associate infrastructure at Murray Bay and Juniper Flats, and upgrades at Mather and Farrell

Install one holding tank at the host site in Bay View Campground and two holding tanks in Brevoort Lake Campground, one at each host site.

The St. Ignace Ranger District proposes to remove the existing 17-foot-wide by 90-foot-long, five span timber bridge, by the name of Carp River Bridge 3445-0.1, on FR3445 which spans the Carp River, and rehabilitate the riverbanks.

Upgrade 1.5 miles of FR2109 from operation maintenance level (OML) 3 to OML 4, by widening the surface to 20-22 feet, upgrading the surface and culverts, and improving the ditches. https://usfs.app.box.com/folder/359621917628

Install additional underground fiber for approximately 13.6 miles within a 10-foot right of way as an amendment to their existing authorization.

Proposed expansion is 50 feet x 90 feet for a total of 0.13 acres to expand parking for wildland fire vehicles and snowplowing.

Vegetation Management and Recreation proposal

The proposed action is needed to provide high speed, broadband internet to communities in Delta, Chippewa, and Mackinac counties through the Mobile Now Act. Rural communities in these locations are underserved.

Replace the two current wilderness toilet structures with moldering style toilet structures and decommission existing toilet structures.

The Forest Service is proposing to build alternative power infrastructure (i.e. solar) that would be used to power the infrastructure at Williams Landing and the Grand Island Maintenance Garage.

This project includes bank stabilization along 200 feet of Lake Superior shoreline in front of the historic Mather-Klauer Lodge on Grand Island National Recreation Area.

The Chippewa County SORVA, in cooperation with the Michigan DNR will sign, grade, and potentially harden the approximately 250 foot user-developed trail that runs from M-123 to FR 3421.

Installation of underground electric beginning at an existing underground pedestal on the North side of Co Rd 440. From the pedestal via vibratory plow to 2 residents along an existing road right of way.

This guide provides guided kayak fishing, canoe floats, kayak tours, fly fishing, fishing classes and ice fishing (Ice fishing will be assessed after the summer season through a new permit if the Forest Service wishes to continue to permit this guide

This is an adventure bike race that covers 500 hundred miles in 5 days from Peninsula Point to Copper Harbor. Will use existing roads and mountain bike trails in Bruno's Run and Valley Spur. Up to 75 racers.

Temporary use permit for outfitting/guiding services during the 2025 bear season. Will not include the use of bait stations.

Replace one trail/road bridge over the North Branch of the Stutts Creek on the Haywire Grade Snowmobile/ATV Trail. Replace the bridge decking on 10 additional bridges along the trail.

Establish a new population of Lakeside Daisy on the St. Ignace Ranger District. Creation of 1m x 4m plots where planting will occur at 3-5 inches deep.

This project proposes adding a new line to the existing master special use permit, that will connect two critical substations allowing broader backup coverage of powered service when emergencies or line outages arise across currently isolated circuit

Install, maintain, and operate approximately 31.16 miles/2.35 acres of fiber optic cable, electronics, hand holds and small pedestals to increase broadband connections across the district. 12.12 miles bored, 19.05 miles plowed.
