In this project, the USFS proposes to mechanically cut select trees across a ~3,000-acre project area around the community of Heber-Overgaard to reduce insect and disease occurrence and spread in the project area and address departed fire conditions.
Location
The project area will focus on the Wildland-Urban Interface around the community of Heber-Overgaard, as identified in the Sitgreaves Community Wildfire Protection Plan.
