The Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest proposes to reduce forest fire hazard by using mechanical methods and/or prescribed fire to reduce tree density, fuel loading both live and dead and reduce ladder fuels on National Forest Systems Lands.

Location

Project area lies west of Reno Nevada, to the south of interstate 80 from approximately the Hunter Creek trailhead area to the west at the California Stateline.
