EA level mineral exploration project over 10 years

The Wheeler to Willow Creek Project was developed to preserve Willow Creek while maintaining and improving safe access to Wheeler Pass.

Re-routing of three road segments that are currently in drainage bottoms.

The Carson Ranger District of the Humboldt Toiyabe (HT) National Forest is proposing improvements to the Tahoe Meadows Interpretive Trail, a 1.3-mile loop, in Washoe County, Nevada approximately 10 miles north of Incline Village. The proposed action

The project proposes locatable minerals exploration drilling of approximately 266 drill sites within the Project Area. Subsequent phases could include up to 334 additional drill sites. Total project disturbance would not exceed 250 acres on NFS lands.

Timber restoration and hazardous fuels reduction near Jarbidge, NV. Proposed treatments include mechanical, prescribed fire, biomass utilization of firewood through the local community, prescriptive grazing and fuel breaks.

Construction, Operation, Maintenance and Decommissioning of 525kV Transmission Line between Robinson Summit Substation in White Pine County, NV and Fort Churchill Substation in Churchill County, NV.

Reconstruct the existind dam to address safety concerns related to age of the existing structure.

Replacement of three bridges in Elko County - 1. Charleston-Jarbidge Bridge; 2. Schoonover Creek Bridge, and 3. Mill Creek Bridge

The Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest proposes to reduce forest fire hazard by using mechanical methods and/or prescribed fire to reduce tree density, fuel loading both live and dead and reduce ladder fuels on National Forest Systems Lands.

NV Energy proposes replacement of three electrical transmission lines (101, 102, and 133) with modernized electrical design line, using existing alignment (right of way) to significantly improve reliability within the electric power grid.

The Forest Service plans to use mechanical equipment, hand thinning, prescribed fire, prescriptive and targeted grazing to implement up to approximately 20,000 acres per year across the approximate 245,500-acre project area.

Improve the Upper Kyle Canyon Trail System by reconstructing the Mary Jane Falls Trail and parking complex to include surveying authorized and unauthorized trails to determine areas of the Mary Jane Falls trail to reconstruct, re-route, or restore.

Construction, operation, maintenance and decommissioning of a 500kV transmission line between Clover Substation in Juab County, Utah, and Robinson Summit Substation in White Pine County,Nevada

Install/replace fencing to protect degraded areas and springs on the SMNRA by install fencing at key sites to reduce impacts from wild horses and burros.

Authorize the addition of a Fiber optic line to existing power poles along State Route 157, Telephone Pole Rd to Angel Peak communication site and along Cold Creek Rd. The planned installation will take place during calendar year 2025 if approved.

Authorize the addition of a Fiber optic line to existing power poles along State Route 160 in the Pahrump valley and into Mountain Springs, NV. The planned installation will take place during calendar year 2025 if approved.

Hazardous fuels reduction using hand thinning, cutting, piling, lop/scatter, prescribed fire (pile & understory), and restoration in wildland fire footprints by seed collection, hand planting, and seeding of native trees and plants.

The project proposes a locatable mineral exploration drilling program consisting of approximately 43 constructed drill pads and 0.9 miles of constructed new temporary road. Disturbance is estimated at approximately 12 acres.

The proposed action is to authorize cattle grazing within the McKinney, Meadow Canyon, Monitor Valley East, Monitor Valley West, Silver Creek, and Table Mountain allotments in a manner that will not hinder attainment of LRMP desired condition

Current ground-based treatment options are limited by reach (hose length), access, topography, and cost. The Humboldt Toiyabe National Forest proposes to expand current integrated pest management to include Aerial Applicaiton of Herbicide.

The Forest Service is considering amending its land management plans to address new and evolving issues arising since implementing sage-grouse plans in 2015. This project is in cooperation with the USDI Bureau of Land Management.
