Modoc Nation partnership to maintain/restore sage-steppe grassland wildlife habitat, reduce risk of high severity fire by hand-cutting encroaching juniper, reduce fuels in ponderosa pine stands, use regenerative grazing to control juniper and NNIS.

Location

Mt Dome Mgmt Area, bounded on the east by Tule Lake NWR and Lava Beds NM, on the north by pvt lands and Lower Klamath NWR, on the west by pvt and BLM lands, on the south by Klamath NF.
