The Rock Project is part of a larger active management strategy that will reduce wildfire risk and benefit public safety, wildlife, recreation, watershed, and the local economy. The project would treat about 5,700 acres in the larger 14,540-acre project boundary.

Location

The project area covers about 14,540 acres and includes the Blackrock Road (NFS Road 21S03) from Sherman Pass Road (22S05) up to the Blackrock Trailhead, as well as the area north of the 22S05 between Beach Road (21S02) and Albanita Road (21S01).
