The proposed project is designed to reduce risk to rural communities from catastrophic wildfire by reducing hazardous fuels, increasing safety adjacent to critical egress/ingress routes, and improving the resiliency of forested ecosystems.

Location

The project area is within the Weaverville Ranger District and the Trinity Unit of the National Recreation Area on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest in the vicinity of the HWY 3 corridor.
