Commercially thinning 15,421 acres of overstocked loblolly stands across Davy Crockett National Forest for the purpose of moving the ecosystem towards the desired future condition and managing areas of concern for upland wildlife habitat improvement and hazardous fuels reduction.
Location
The project are is located throughout the Davy crockett national forest in both Houston and Trinity County. The City of Groveton boarders the south west corner of the project area with FM 2262 and the city of Trevet creating the south borader.
