Pennington South Resource Management Project

The Blackduck District of the Chippewa National Forest (CPF) is proposing an integrated resource project which seeks to move towards desired conditions throughout the Pennington South Project area on National Forest System (NFS) administered lands.

Location

The Pennington South project area (Figure 1) is in Beltrami, Cass, and Itasca Counties and is generally bound to the south by Highway 2 spanning north to the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe (LLBO) reservation boundary, it extends from the western boundary of the Chippewa National Forest (CPF) east to Lake Winnibigoshish.
