Construct and use new timber access roads on NFS lands.

The old system failed inspection so will be replaced with a new tank in the exact same location as the current system. No trees need to be removed for this project.

This project is for prospecting mineral resources (gravel) in areas directly adjacent to the currently active Jessie, Howard, Grave, Whittlestop, and Onigum gravel pits. This effort is intended to evaluate the presence and suitability of additional mineral material that may support Forest activities

East Ottertail is requesting to install, use, and maintain 5152 feet of fiber optic line. Four pedestals will be installed.

Permittee proposes removing a non-compliant septic system and replacing it with a new system. A new 1,650-gallon combination precast concrete tank will be installed along with a lift station, 10’ x 38’ pressure bed drainfield, and connection pipes. No trees will be removed.

Permittee proposes replace failing septic system as part of requirements for the upcoming permit renewal. New system will have a 1,500-gallon tank and pressure mound drainfield installed. The purpose of this Environmental Assessment is to evaluate the potential environmental effects of developing, expanding, managing, and closing of select gravel pits within the Chippewa National Forest.

The Blackduck District of the Chippewa National Forest (CPF) is proposing an integrated resource project which seeks to move towards desired conditions throughout the Pennington South Project area on National Forest System (NFS) administered lands.

Permittee proposes to build a temporary, winter only, access road totaling approximately 5,011 feet. The northern section would be approximately 691 feet and the southern section would be approximately 4,320 feet by 12 feet wide

East Ottertail is requesting to install, use, and maintain 45’ of fiber optic line in a 10’ wide right of way.

The Forest Service is proposing to amend the Special Use Permit currently held by Enbridge and authorize the three types of decommissioning activities described below, including valve flush or removals, pipeline grouting, and pipeline removal.

The DNR is requesting to use two old skid trails and Sprue Lake HWT to access timber stands for permit B016173.

MNDNR is requesting to clear and utilize U3289 as part of project 19828. U3289 with be cleared for a width of 18’ and length of 324’. Other roads that will be utilized and covered under a 7700-permit include SLR-S3396, 2130G, SLR-S3395, and 2130.

Lake Country Power is requesting to install and maintain 8,340’ or 1.58 miles of new line installed in a 30’ ROW way.

Road permit to authorize the construction, use and maintenance, and rehabilitation of a temporary haul road across NFS lands to access and harvest state timber sale 20091.

Replacement of failed copper facility and installation of fiber optic mainline cable for future use. The cable will be buried at 35 inches. The right-of-way will be approximately 383 feet long and 10 feet wide. The installation is planned to occur in the spring/summer of 2026.

Road permit to authorize the construction, use and maintenance, and rehabilitation of a temporary haul road across NFS lands to access and harvest state timber sale 20380. The new road would branch off FR2187GA. The new road construction would be 1357 feet in length and 18 feet in width.

The State will utilize FR2131, SLR-S5057, and construct 120 feet of new road at the end of SLR-S5057.

Permittee proposes to build three different long-term access roads for DNR timber sales and site work. 1) T141N, R25W, S27 totaling approximately 2,200 feet by 18 feet wide following the route of a previous road SLR-S3461. 2) T141N, R28W, S30 totaling approximately 220 feet by 18 feet wide.

Permittee proposes to build and maintain a gravel surface private road crossing Chippewa National Forest land to access their private property.

University of Minnesota research project using remote sensing techniques and equipment to monitor photosynthesis and transpiration to detect EAB and track spread over time.

The project is designed to create quality habitat for the Golden-winged Warbler, American Woodcock, Ruffed Grouse and associated species by reducing the density and age of vegetative species through brush cutting. The project will use TVA CE 30 to authorize.

This project intends to harvest primarily aspen and paper birch to provide sunlight and growing space to midstory and understory hardwoods and improve stand health and resiliency.

The overhead lines will be removed, and the existing material will be used to fill in the pole holes. The new underground will be located within the existing right of way and no additional tree clearing will be required. The cable will be buried directly into the soil using a vibratory cable plow. T

Permittee proposes installation of two solar panel arrays.

The project is slated to occur in the Summer of 2026. It includes the installation of BD5 Pedestals and approximately 3429 feet of fiber in an existing right-of-way. The ROW will be 33 feet wide. The line will be plowed and directionally drilled.

Project proposes to remove 2 gates and a rock barricade, allowing motorized access to an overlook, and access to a previously closed segment of road. This segment will be added back to the Forest transportation system and MVUM.
