The use of prescribed fire and mechanical treatments to restore fire-dependent ecosystems and wildlife habitats on 1913 acres of national forest system lands, within the proclamation boundary of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Indian Reservation.

The project analysis area is on the Chippewa National Forest within, Cass County, Minnesota. The treatment includes approximately 1,913 acres of National Forest System lands.
