Tongass National Forest Prince of Wales-Outer, Alaska Thorne Bay Ranger District

This project would improve wildlife habitat, provide commercial young-growth harvest opportunities, implement riparian and road restoration activities in the project areas, as well as to provide support for employment and economic growth.

Location

Project area is about 26,371 acres of NFS land and 3,604 acres of land of other ownership (non-NFS land) on the eastern side of Prince of Wales Island, near Thorne Bay, Alaska.
