Forest Service is requesting that the Secretary of the Interior withdraw the identified land from location and entry under the United States mining laws (30 U.S.C. Ch. 2) to protect recreational, scenic, water quality, wildlife, geologic, and cultural resource values in Oak Creek Canyon

Improve habitat for the threatened Chiricahua Leopard Frog in Hackberry Spring by increasing surface water extent and pool depth in the reach of the channel downstream from Hackberry Spring. Project had been known previously known as #61802.

Construction of a corral within the Shipping Pasture of the 13 Mile Rock Allotment that lacks proper range infrastructure for the permittee to manage and sort cattle. Installation of 55 miles of a below ground water distribution system on the Angell, Deep Lake and Youngs Canyon allotments including replacement of a 15,000 gallon catchment and trough at Elk Tank, and 30 trough installations throughout the allotments for better livestock/wildlife distribution.

Construct approximately 39-miles of singletrack shared-use non-motorized recreation trail to remove the Arizona Trail (a State Scenic Trail and National Scenic Trail) from its current co-location with National Forest system roads on the Coconino National Forest.

This project proposes installing a 13-mile water distribution system. Activities include improving one mile of Forest Road 9473S, constructing one pump house with a diesel pump and generator, installing a 250,000-gallon storage tank, and installation of 13 miles of polyethylene pipe.

The Ridge Trail would be re-aligned because a portion is currently on private land. The Forest Service would construct the Ridge Trail realignment and adopt a user-created connector traveling from the Ridge Trail to the Ramshead Trail.

Construction of a cattle corral to be 120 feet by 500 feet within the Shipping Pasture of 13 Mile Rock allotment to use at the end of a grazing season to manage cattle movement and round up cattle.

Root plugs of two species of native milkweed would be planted at locations within the Red Rock Ranger District to support monarch butterfly habitat.

Thinning of hazardous fuels within 200 feet of several existing structures in the Arizona Snowbowl Special Use Permit Area

Rehabilitate head cuts forming at the Arizona Snowbowl permit boundary by re-contouring, and then covering with filter fabric and 8-18" rock.

Construct approximately 1.9 miles of logworm fencing along strategic areas of Forest Roads 644G, 620D, and 620A, leading past critical water infrastructure to direct recreationists away from earthen tanks and unique high-elevation meadow resources.

The Forest Service proposes to reduce duplicated routes (Forest Roads 152C and 152F) in an area west of Sedona along Boynton Pass Road. Project elements include: road re-route; road obliteration; and a road-use permit to the Estrella Noche Ranch HOA.

Widening of Forest Road 751 for a turn-around area to relieve traffic at the C.C. Cragin Reservoir and development of a group site at the Knoll Lake Campground

Replacement of aging existing transmission line and poles to allow for safer and more reliable electrical service. The static wire on the transmission line would be replaced with optical ground wire, allowing for fiber optic communication uses.

Blue Ridge Fire District has proposed to install a radio repeater attached to the Baker Butte Fire Lookout. The installation of this repeater will improve radio coverage in that area facilitating better firefighter communications.

Permit use of already existing driveway across Forest Service System lands.

Renovations within the existing Mt Elden Microwave site including refurbishment of existing building, tower replacement, and propane tank relocation.

The comprehensive plan will establish the administrative objectives, policies, processes, and management guidelines necessary to fulfill the legislative requirements for national scenic trails under the National Trails System Act.

Arizona Public Service Co. proposes a 69kV electric transmission line to improve electric reliability for nearby communities. Alternatives considered for this project would require a Forest Plan Amendment for guidelines regarding scenic resources.

Expansion of Big Draw Pit from 4.7 acres to 6.1 acres to process and apply road surfacing materials on surrounding forest roads

Construction of a pasture fence to separate Cowboy and Little Horse pastures on the Casner Kelly Allotment

Doors of Dimension LLC has requested access across Coconino National Forest Lands to build a driveway to their private property Yavapai County Parcel # 408-12-011A.

Reissuance of a Fiber Optic Line permit to Qwest, dba CenturyLink. This is the Master Permit for the phone lines that Qwest has on the forest.

The Prescott National Forest is proposing a land exchange between the Prescott, Coconino, Kaibab, and Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests and the Yavapai-Apache Nation (YAN). More information at https://yavapai-apache.org/land-exchange

The project is to reroute three segments (totaling 18 miles) of the existing trail off of Forest System Roads to a non-motorized pathway. In addition, up to 20 new range gates will be installed at range fence lines.

The existing Agassiz fixed-grip triple chairlift would be replaced and upgraded with a detachable combination chairlift and gondola referred to as a chondola or telemix.

Proposed snowmaking, realignment of lifts, installation of new lifts, a snowplay/tubing area, and improved service facilities and resort infrastructure. All are proposed within Arizona Snowbowl's existing Forest Service Special Use Permit boundary.

Fuel reduction & ecosystem restoration over approximately 16,809 acres within and adjacent to the WUI of Clints Well.

The Schultz Fire Rehabilitaiton includes the felling of hazard trees, approximately 12 miles of road repair, approximately 1.5 miles of trail repair, and the construction of 3 miles of fence around the Copeland ditch.

The Schultz Fire Salvage includes the salvage of dead trees on approximately 150 acres. Salvage would occur in an approximatley 100 foot zone on both sides of Forest Roads 420, 556, 420H, 420K, 9121K and 6064D.

Reduce fuels and manage for forest health in the Upper Beaver Creek watershed.

Evaluate alternative treatments to reduce live and dead fuels to protect Wildland-Urban Interface areas and past investments in forest health.

This project is designed to reduce hazardous fuels and improve forest health in the Wing Mountain area. Project activities will include thinning of small and medium diameter trees and prescribed fire treatments.

This is a project that would re-issue a Special Use Permit to Arizona Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association to continue use of NFS lands and roads for access to an established launch site location.

The Flagstaff Area National Monuments division of the National Parks Service is requesting to perform maintenance work along forest road 622, the main road in the monument. Road work will include cleaning culverts and repair to shoulders.

Three additional campsites would be added to Canyon Vista Campground.

The Flagstaff Ranger District is proposing to conduct repairs to include roof and siding replacement, foundation repairs, porch repairs, window repair, water diversion, and rodent remediation to the historic Mormon Lake Guard Station Ranger House.

To prevent freezing of the water fountain located at the Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument Visitor Center heat tape will be installed. Installation will require a small trench to be dug in order to tie into an existing electrical line.

Implementation of Public Law 113-107 to authorize the conveyance of land within the boundaries of the Coconino National Forest containing private improvements that were developed based upon the reliance of an erroneous survey conducted in 1960.
