Construction of new trails in the Twelvemile Creek drainage.

The Forest Service proposes to authorize mineral exploration drilling activities for locatable minerals on NFS lands as outlined in the Operator's Plan of Operations. Three drill pads are proposed over a 12-month period

The proposal is to authorize placer mining activities for gold in the North Fork of Sheep Creek area of the North Fork Ranger District. Up to approximately 100 cubic yards of material would be processed over a five year period.

This project aims to proactively reduce hazardous fuels across two fuel breaks.

This purpose of the project is to remove both infested and adjacent uninfested trees to prevent future insect outbreaks and improve the stand's ability to resist other insect and diseases. Up to 250-acres of commercial sanitation harvest is proposed.

Commercially harvest up to 850 acres to decrease timber stand susceptibility to insects attacks and limit the spread of dwarf mistletoe.

The Salmon-Challis proposes to construct 1.8 miles of new motorized trail to reconnect FS Trail #6126 to FS Road #60078.

This project proposes to replace a stream ford crossing with a bridge on USFS Trail No 4323 to improve access for recreationalists and address ESA fish species habitat concerns.

250-acre salvage sale

The proposed 0.71-mile of drift fence would be constructed to manage livestock distribution in the Kinnikinic Creek pasture.

The project would reroute part of NFSR 258 away from the streambank, install a new channel-spanning bridge in a more stable location, rehabilitate the existing ford crossings, and decommission the original road.

Proposal to establish drill pads, and construction of temporary drill roads for exploratory drilling on the Salmon-Challis National Forest near Gibbonsville, Idaho.

This project proposes a 250-acre commercial sanitation harvest of Douglas-fir to improve forest health and resiliency from disease and insect damage.

The project would reroute less than one mile of Trail Creek-Cherry Creek Trail (FS Tr No 4347) to reduce the stream crossings. The proposed reroute would eliminate six of nine existing stream fords.

The Forest Service proposes to remove insect-infested trees and adjacent uninfested trees in the project area to reduce the potential for insect outbreaks and to increase stand resiliency to disturbances.

Installation of a fish barrier in Mill Creek in the Little Lost River Basin to prevent non-native brook trout from negatively impacting ESA-listed bull trout.

Construction of two exclosures around two springs on the Blind Fork of Trail Creek to exclude livestock. The project would include replacement of one trough and the addition of a headbox at one spring, which would be piped to the trough.

Replacement of an existing diversion structure with a new structure designed to accommodate fish passage in Knapp Creek for all life stages and ensure full water delivery to irrigated private land.

Replace two undersized corrugated metal culverts on Bia Po'i Naokwaide with bridges to improve passage for aquatic organisms.

Salvage log up to 250 acres of burnt and/or insect and disease infested timber which is either dead or likely to die in the next 3 years.

Improve livestock distribution and protect riparian areas with the construction of an off-site water source and modification to existing fences.

Salvage harvesting of dead and imminently dead lodgepole pine. The proposed project would designate 250 acres for salvage and sanitation cutting with no new road construction and no more than 0.5 mile of temporary road.

Hand thinning of units, to improve big game habitat that has been reduced through the encroachment of conifers.

Construct about 0.6 miles of fence to create a riparian exclosure on Cruikshank Creek, tying into 700 yards of existing Forest Service and private land boundary fence to create an exclosure to protect the riparian area.

Expand the existing East Leesburg Pit to allow the Salmon-Challis to continue roadwork in areas affected by recent wildfires.

Prevent the build-up of insect and disease, reduce the large accumulation of dead and dying trees, provide a mix of forest products, and decrease the level of hazard trees along main arterial roads within the project area.

The project proposes exploration drilling from roughly 92 drill pads over a 10 year period.
