PALS # 68948. The district proposes to implement management activities to meet the needs of Little Bear Trace Creek Project Area. The intent of these activities is to move the project area towards desired conditions described in the Revised Forest Plan.

Thinning to promote resilience to insect and disease infestations on approximately 841 acres in the Mena and Oden Ranger District.

The District is proposing to conduct some management activities on 1,314 acres of National Forest System lands on the Ouachita National Forest. This acreage includes connected activities associated wth timber harvesting, insect and diesease risk mitigation, and wildland fire risk reduction.

The project includes timber harvest, prescribed burning, and wildlife improvements for Management Area 14 (Ouachita Mountains – Habitat Diversity Emphasis).

The Caddo-Womble Ranger District proposes to implement management activities to meet the needs for Mill Creek Project Area. The intent of these actvities is to move the project towards the desired conditions descrbied in the Revised Forest Plan.

PALS # 63480. Various areas have been nominated for mining. Some are for preferred rights quartz prospecting. Two are quartz nominations on public land that will be competitively bid.

The District Ranger on the Poteau-Cold Springs Ranger District, proposes to authorize the re-route, installation, and use of two sections of an Arkansas Valley Electric Cooperative Corporation (AVECC) overhead 14.4 kV powerline on Forest Service land near Waldron, AR.

The Oklahoma Ranger Districts propose to implement management activities to meet the needs for the Big Cedar Area. The intent of these activities is to move the area toward desired conditions described in the 2005 Revised Forest Plan.

The Poteau-Cold Springs Ranger District proposes to implement management activities such as timber harvest, fuels treatments, silviculture treatments, and wildlife treatments within the West Newman EMU.

Installation of approx. 1,500 feet of underground 3 phase distribution line along NFS Road 52680.

Pine Telephone requests authorization to install fiber optic cable on the Ouachita NF along existing roads. Bore pits, pedestals, and underground fiber optic cable would be installed within a ten-foot wide right of way.

Private landowner is requesting continuued access to private property by National Forest Lands. The road has been the sole traditional access to this property.

Timber management, watershed improvements.

A gravel parking area will be decommissioned and bermed on National Forest System lands near Presbyterian Falls on the lower Mountain Fork River and the CXT vault toilet will be removed.

The Poteau-Cold Springs Ranger District proposes to authorize the installation of an underground primary powerline at the electronic tower site on the summit of White Oak Mountain of Forest Service land in Scott County, Arkansas.

The Poteau-Cold Springs Ranger District, Ouachita National Forest, is authorizing the installation of an overhead powerline and associated right of way (ROW) on Forest Service land to provide power to a private inholding.

LeFlore County Rural Water District 17 requests an amendment to permit KIA0003 to replace/upgrade existing watermain alongside State Highway 63 including pipeline, valving, and other appurtenances.

Bridge embankment repairs and stream embankment stabilization.

The Poteau-Cold Springs Ranger District of the Ouachita National Forest is proposing to permit the installation of a fiber optic broadband line in an exiting utility corridor on Forest Service Lands in Scott County, AR.

Southwest Arkansas Telecommunications and Technology, Inc. requests authorization to install approximately 2 miles of fiber optic cable along existing roads on the Ouachita National Forest near Tom, Oklahoma.

Watershed level management

Arkansas State Parks, Heritage, and Tourism-Division of State Parks (ASP) is requesting issuance of a Special Use Permit (SUP) for an area of National Forest Service (NFS) Lands that would include trail and recreation related infrastructure.

Removal of two culverts, a headwall, and excavate stream material to restore stream flow. Install a bottomless culvert at the site of the removed culverts.

Treatments would occur on .25-mile of the trail (from bridge to overlook) and include removing some vegetation and all deteriorating structures. The new access route will be built and maintained to look and appear natural to the area.

The Oklahoma Ranger Districts propose to implement management activities to meet the needs of the East of the Lake Project Area and to move the project area toward desired conditions described in the Revised Forest Plan.

Choctaw Electric Cooperative, Inc. requests an amendment to their existing authorization to upgrade transmission capacity within an existing right of way across the Ouachita National Forest.

The Poteau-Cold Springs Ranger District proposes to implement management activities such as timber harvest, fuels treatments, silviculture treatments, wildlife treatments, and transportation treatments within the Freedom EMU.

Robertson Creek Project Area includes approximately 12,621 acres of Forest Service lands in Scott County, Arkansas. The intent of these activities is to move the project area toward desired conditions established in the Ouachita National Forest Plan.

The East Mill Project Area includes approximately 8,060 acres of Forest Service lands in Scott County, Arkansas. The intent of these activities is to move the project area toward desired conditions established in the Ouachita National Forest Plan.

To better serve the public, the Forest has migrated to an electronic mailing platform. This project provides the public access to subscribe to electronic mailing lists, giving them direct control over the information they receive.

The emphasis in this watershed is the restoration and perpetuation of pine-grass old growth forests, and other old growth conditions associated with frequent fire.

The Forest Service proposes to authorize Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation (AECC) to install approximately 5.79 miles of underground fiber optic cable on National Forest System (NFS) lands within the existing US 71 Highway corridor.

The Forest Service proposes to promote resiliency to insect and disease infestations through the implementation of thinning treatments to approximately 78 acres.

The Board Camp Project Area includes approximately 12,889 acres of Forest Service lands in Polk County, Arkansas. The intent of these activities is to move the project area toward desired conditions established in the Ouachita National Forest Plan.
