The Strawberry to Cascade Allotment Management Plan is currently on hold. Due to shifts in agency priorities, NEPA projects not specifically tied to timber and vegetation management objectives will be completed as limited staffing and resources allow

Reconstruct fence burned in the 2021 Goose fire and extend portions of four fences where the fire removed natural barriers to livestock movement. Fences will be wildlife friendly and total 1.83 miles. Includes fence segments in RNA and IRA boundaries

The proposed action is to approve a Plan of Operation to drill one core hole using a track or trailer mounted drilling rig, and less than 1 mile of temporary road construction. The road would be reclaimed upon project completion.

The Forest Service proposes to approve the Wigwam Trail C&H livestock allotment permittee to construct approximately 0.51 miles of fence at three different locations in the Wigwam Creek watershed to divert livestock from wet areas and Wigwam Creek.

Construct two wooden fish barriers using standard practices, one on Mono Creek and another on Lacy Creek within the West Pioneer IRA. Construction would take place in late summer or fall when stream flows are low.

Southern Montana Telephone will be permitted to construct approximately 16 miles of underground fiber optic cable along highway 43 and Trail Creek Road.

Reestablish bridge on motorized trail 6700 at the West Fork Madison River crossing

The project proposes to reroute existing trail, build new trail to connect a trail loop, and decommission portions of trail that are not up to forest standards.

The project proposes fence improvements within the Whitetail Reservoir Exclosure and is also part of the South Pony grazing allotment. There is a need to limit unauthorized routes adjacent to FSR 8695 that have been created within the riparian area.

Proposal from Cedar Lake Irrigation Association to access their point of diversion on the South Fork of Jack Creek to install a new headgate, clean the culvert, manipulate the stream channel, and clear sediment and debris from the irrigation ditch.

This analysis identifies the visitor use capacity on National Forest System lands only, on the Nez Perce National Historic Trail to assist in the protection and management of trail resources.

The project moves a fence between two range pastures that currently lies within an increasingly popular, dispersed camp site. By moving the fence away from the recreation site, it should reduce the amount of recreation and livestock conflicts.

Project to move conditions toward Forest Plan Timber, Vegetation, and Fuel Management Goals and Objectives using commercial timber harvest, precommercial thinning, and conifer expansion treatments.

The purpose of the fencing projects is to improve cattle distribution and forage utilization by increasing the ability to control cattle movement as well as to exclude cattle along Meadow Creek near the bridge in the Blue Grotto Pasture.

Establish fish barrier in Trapper Creek constructed with lumber, fill, rip-rap and concrete for the conservation of Westslope Cutthroat Trout. An excavator will be used for site preparation and barrier construction.

Ken Lutz of Philipsburg Montana has submitted a Plan of Operations to explore for minerals on unpatented mining claims, digging four test pits located approximately 12 miles west of Philipsburg, Montana. Access includes use of FS Road 78562.

This project proposes to improve a hardened crossing in an allotment on Pole Creek to alleviate excess sedimentation and provide a preferred crossing for cattle.

This project proposes to relocate an emergency and safety radio communications repeater from a poor signal site to a location with better coverage on South Baldy Mountain.

There is a need to relieve riparian systems of grazing pressure and promote livestock dispersal in upland forage. A pipeline extension would supply two new water troughs on NFS and private land.

Proposal to authorize permittee to construct 100 feet by 100 feet wooden or metal corral to temporarily hold cattle while finalizing allotment cleanup

This proposal would authorize planting 250 whitebark pine trees per acre in what was a Whitebark pine dominated site prior to the Pony fire in 2012. Inventories show that regeneration of the Whitebark pine forest-type is not happening as predicted.

We propose to authorize Anthony Marletto to replace an existing makeshift diversion dam with a vortex rock weir including a fish screen and associated fish bypass structure.

We propose to work with Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks to modify the existing waterfall on Willow Creek to become a fish barrier to contribute toward future native fish restoration and benefit existing restoration projects.

This is a project to permit improvements to the existing spring in order to provide safe drinking water to Maverick Mountain facilities for use by recreationists.

This project proposes to construct a wooden fish barrier on the Upper West Fork Madison River to aid in the conservation of westslope cutthroat trout.

This project proposes an amendment to the Three Rivers master permit, granting a Right-of-Way for the purpose of installing fiber optic cable along about four miles of road on Forest Service land to bring needed services to rural communities

The project is to protect the Basin Creek Municipal Watershed by restoring and improving the characteristics of forest composition and structure to help reduce the risk of uncharacteristic wildfire effects.

Treatment of 70 ac. of NFS lands via commercial thinning of overstocked stands. Thinning would occur in areas with a target basal area of approx. 40 to 80 sq. ft. per acre and implemented through mechanical harvest. UR8-416A would be decommissioned.

The proposed action is to convey approximately .50 acres of NFS lands in the Jerry Creek watershed to John and Debbie Primozic under the Small Tracts Act.

The Forest Service is considering the conveyance of approximately 4 acres of NFS lands in the Upper North Meadow Creek to Reed Montana Holdings, LLC under the Small Tracts Act

The Forest Service is considering the conveyance of approximately 4.2 acres of NFS land in the Warm Springs Creek watershed to Mary Jane Spain under the Small Tracts Act

The Forest Service is considering the Plan of Operations for drilling 14 holes and the potential for 14 mud pits within existing mine road footprint at the Yellowband Mine.

Portions of the Foster Cr. and Twin Lakes Trails (No. 8045 and 8044) do not meet FS standards for width and grade. 2,100 ft. of reroutes on 3 segments would be done for Twin Lakes Trail and 3,000 ft. of reroutes on 5 segments of Foster Creek Trail.

The Saw Log Placer Project is testing for placer deposits. The claimant plans to dig 3 test holes during this operation. Each test hole will be 6ft to 10ft wide, 10ft long, and 5ft to 10ft deep.

We propose to use bioengineering techniques to create up to 20 pool habitats to improve stream habitat condition and water quality to improve long-term persistence of westslope cutthroat trout in their native range.

The proposed action is to reroute 2 segments of NFS Road 1589, which is the only motorized access to Maywood Ridge. Activities include moving the existing road out of the bottom of the draw, increasing curve radius on a switchback, and a new culvert.

NFS Road 5165 is a native surface road composed of decomposed granitic soils that are highly erosive. Three sections exceed FS specifications for maximum grade. Reroute these segments would decrease gradients from 14-17% to an average of 6% slope.

Salvage dead and dying trees on no more than 250 acres of National Forest System (NFS) lands on the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest (BDNF) just north of MT Hwy 43 within the Trail Creek Fire perimeter.

Vigilante Electric proposes to rebuild an existing 69kV overhead transmission line. The new overhead transmission line runs across approximately 4,224 feet of NFS lands in a 50 foot wide corridor.

Review grazing practices and infrastructure for 4 domestic livestock grazing allotments (Eureka Basin, Pole Creek, Southwest Corner and Robb Creek)to ensure compliance with applicable Forest Plan direction.

The BLM Dillon Field Office and Dillon Ranger District are starting the Environmental Assessment(EA) on Applications for Permit to Drill, submitted by the Lima Exploration Company, LLC.

Removal of dead, dying, structurally weakened, infested and/or infected, and at-risk adjacent live trees on up to 250 acres on 12 units through the use of mechanical harvest and ground-based skidding adjacent to County Road No. 88 and private land.

A total of 20 repeater sites are located on the BDNF. These existing sites require annual maintenance to provide for critical communications across the Forest that support wildland fire suppression, SAR, and the health and safety of our employees.

Purpose is to achieve Forest Plan Goals including timber management, aquatic improvement, wildlife habitat improvement. Proposed activities include commercial timber harvest, travel management, and reduction of conifer encroachment in sagebrush.

Permit vehicle access to private property through across 56 feet of National Forest land. It would allow the holder to improve, use and maintain a private driveway.

Reconstruction of a 1-mile long segment of existing 16" steel gas pipeline, owned and operated by NorthWestern Energy. Total temporary disturbance would occur on approximately 13 acres of NFS lands located on the Butte and Pintler Ranger Districts.

The Forest Service proposes to issue a Private Road Special Use Permit authorizing the landowner to use an existing road to access their property. The portion of the road on NFS land is approximately 1,200 feet in length and 14 feet in width.

The Forest Service proposes to authorize a recreation residence special use permit holder to construct a 17'x18' addition to her cabin. Less than 50 hazard trees will be removed in conjunction with construction.

The proposed action would conduct vegetation management activities to promote resilience to insects and disease. Treatments would include timber harvest and removal of conifer encroachment from aspen stands.

This project is a proposal to issue a special use permit to allow connection of a pipeline to the overflow of a water trough on NFS lands and install approximately 2000 feet of subsurface line to water livestock on adjacent private land.

The purpose of this project is to protect over 6 miles of Westslope Cutthroat Trout occupied habitat in the Wall Creek drainage, by constructing a fish passage barrier near the downstream Forest boundary.

Installation of a new fence approximately 0.4 miles long and extension of existing fence by 0.3 miles in Stony Creek and construction of a 40 ft. x 80 ft. corral adjacent to NFS Road No. 5012 in Cornish Gulch for loading and unloading cattle.

Issuance of special use permit(s) authorizing up to two landowners to access their private property and maintain existing routes (operation and maintenance of an existing 750 ft. long segment and improvement and maintenance of a 30 ft. driveway).

A .75 mile extension of an existing non-motorized recreation and outdoor education trail from the Philipsburg, Montana town park and back. The trail traverses the Pintler Ranger District horse pastures.

We propose to rebuild the dam on Narrows Pond to newly acquired design specifications, in order to store adequate water to support embryo development and fry emergence of Arctic Grayling and Westslope Cutthroat Trout in Elk Lake.

We seek to improve riparian vegetation structure and composition in the Trail Creek area, proactively removing expanding conifers in this area would ensure this valuable riparian shrub/willow component is maintained and allowed to improve overtime.

Proposal would manage several trails in and adjacent to Thompson Park for non-motorized winter recreation opportunities by continuing to groom approximately 12 miles of trail and adding another 1.10 miles of route to the groomed trail system

This project would permit continued maintenance and grooming of about 15 kilometers (9 miles) of non-motorized trails for cross country skiing from December 1st through March depending on conditions.

Reduce stand density and increase age class, size class, and species diversity; reduce conifer encroachment; provide forest products.

Planting the burned area from the 2018 Monument Fire with native Whitebark pine in order to help the species establish during the period of little competition from vegetation post-fire.

We propose building a fish barrier in Selway Creek to support a MTFWP project to reintroduce native westslope cutthroat trout and improve habitat for an existing population of Forest Service listed sensitive species of Western Pearl Shell Mussels

Proposal to expand up to four existing gravel pits in the Selway and Bloody Dick Drainages over the next 20 years for road improvement projects. Two pits are in the Tash Peak and one in the West Big Hole IRA. See scoping letter and maps.

We plan to decommission the lower portion of Schwinegar Lake Trail #2259 that is eroding and causing resource damage. We propose to reroute about three quarters of a mile of trail along the contour line of the slope to tie in with Trail #2758.

We propose to install up to three hardened stream crossings and sections of fence at primary livestock crossing sites on the lower reach of Selway Creek. The project would protect streambanks, reduce sediment, and narrow the stream channel.

This project will remove dead, dying, and structurally unsound trees within 150 of either side of identified Forest Services roads and a portion of MT Highway 43 to reduce the hazard they pose to the travelling public.

Removal of hazard trees along the Montgomery, Slag-A-Melt, and Low Furley north and south ditches on approximately 3.2 miles of the ditch easement within one tree length, (50 to 150 feet) from both sides of the ditch.

The S Fk-N Fk of Divide Creek has reaches with alterations such as straightened stream channels and ditches. Potential restoration activities include reconnecting altered channel to existing, original channel and adding woody debris for habitat.

This project proposes to improve 325-acres of winter habitat for moose along the Ruby River in the Gravelly Landscape, Snowcrest Mountain Recommended Wilderness Area.

The proposal is to remove 8000 tons of mine waste material from multiple sites in the South Meadow Creek area. Access and waste rock material haulage will be primarily along forest roads #9648, 9649, 9649a, 1224 and 1221.

We propose to issue a permit to NorthWestern Energy for installation of 1100 feet of power line from an overhead power line on Poormans Road to private property. The line will be buried in an existing roadbed.

This project is proposed to remove the deteriorated and failing dam on Tendoy Lake to ensure water that leaves the lake stays in the Willow Creek drainage. The project is intended to benefit native fish and won't change water levels in the lake.

We propose this project to clean, maintain, and repair failures in existing irrigation ditches and replace 3 diversion structures with structures that meet standards. We also plan to reconnect two historic channels to the main stem of Selway Creek.

This proposal would convey a .73 acre isolated tract of land to Mr. & Mrs. McGraw under the Small Tract Act. There are no ground disturbing activities proposed, and the current uses would remain the same.

This project involves replacement and upgrade of an existing overhead electric distribution system with a buried distribution system.

Amend the terms of an existing permit under a National Memorandum of Understanding, to allow the Natural Resources Conservation Service to automate 2 existing snow courses (Dad Creek and Slag-a-Melt)to Snotel sites.

We propose to permit a mineral company to dig five exploration test trenches about 4 feet deep, 15 feet wide and 316 to 1202 feet long. Total disturbance would be approximately 3 acres.

Cleaning, maintenance, or repair of ditches, and replacement of diversion structures as needed on irrigation ditches in Selway Meadows.

We propose to remove the remaining dead and dying lodgepole pine adjacent to separate portions of the Moosehorn Ditch to protect the integrity of the ditch should wind damage occur. For details please see the scoping letter on this project website.

We propose to construct 4.7 miles of new trail and obliterate 1.4 miles of the old trail tread, in order to reroute the Whetstone Ridge Trail to resolve safety, erosion and public access concerns posed at the existing location.

This project involves only the administrative change of issuing a new authorization for a private road access on the Lightning Ridge Road and associated two track to a private cabin.

This is a proposal to re-authorize a new 10-year term special use permit to Snowline Grazing Association for continued use of existing structures and use on NFS lands. There are no changes proposed to the expiring permit.

This proposal considers re-authorizing a special use permit for a new 10-year term for existing structures and uses on NFS lands.

This project iwould move the Dry Hollow storage tank point of diversion in the Electric Fence pasture about 1740 feet, add a trough, and reconstruct 1.11 mi. of existing pipeline to protect a resource at the original point of diversion.

Preparation of a supplemental analysis for the Corrected FEIS for revision of the Beaverhead and Deerlodge Forest Plans into the 2009 BDNF Forest Plan, in response to an August 27, 2015 Order from the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana.

This project would issue a special use permit to Mr. Murphy for construction of a 300 foot driveway off a closed route and allow NorthWest Energy to bury an underground residential powerline for 900 feet across NFS to the private building site.

NorthWest Energy is replacing three power poles along their line from Butte to Ramsey on a small isolated Forest Service parcel at Nissler Junction near the intersection of Interstates 15 and 90.

The proposal would convey two mineral fraction parcels totaling 3.08 acres to Montana Resources under the Small Tracts Act

The Forest Service proposes to issue a term special use permit for installation, use, and maintenance of a waterline system.

The proposed action is to issue a 30 year Communication Use Lease to Rfwave for a single use facility located adjacent to Denton%u2019s Marina on Georgetown Lake.

The proposed action is to authorize T-Mobile to install equipment at the established Rumsey Mountain Communication Site. This use would be authorized as a Communication Site Lease with a 30 year term.

This project is proposed to begin restoring a declining willow population and improve stream function on Selway Creek. The Beaverhead-Deerlodge Working Group, The Nature Conservancy, FWP, volunteers and staff will help do the planting with the FS.

Reroute and reconstruct approximately 4 switchbacks/climbing turns on about a half mile of non-motorized FS System Trail #3010 to the Odell Mountain Lookout in the West Pioneers.

The proposal would authorize NorthWest Energy & Blackfoot Telephone Co. a right-of-way approximately 1,850 feet long by 2 feet wide in order to bury electric and phone conduits for a private residence 3 feet deep in the Stony Creek Roadbed.

Proposal to exchange a permit for motorized access to private land on 1320 feet of an old jeep road closed to motorized traffic for an easement across private land for the same distance to maintain public access along the Ramshorn Creek Trail #6016

Updating the allotment management plans for 11 grazing allotments.

This project would exchange Federal lands north of Butte for private lands near Delmoe Lake.

Remove hazard trees adjacent to several high-use system roads on the Dillon Ranger District using commercial timber sale.

Road 1237B, (0.5 miles) will require complete obliteration. Road closure devices, water bars, tread scarification and re-contouring will discourage motorized use and promote re-vegetation. Road 9677, (1.6 miles) will require only a closed sign.

Construct and install a 12 foot denil fish ladder attached to a 7'x7' concrete head wall. The top of the fish ladder will be covered to prevent blockage. The contractor would use a tracked excavator to do the work.

Proposal to convert 2 communication sites, identified in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge Forest Plan as "proposed" to permanent administrative sites. Equipment is in place and the conversion is an administrative exercise.

proposal to permit mineral exploration in an unpatented mining claim using a backhoe to excavate 8 trenches. Trenches will be opened one at a time and reclaimed before excavating the next. Samples would be removed and processed off-site.

Reauthorize an expired 10-year Livestock Area Special Use Permit to Candland Olsen. The permit allows constructing part of a fence on National Forest because the site on his property is too wet to construct a fence

This proposal is to build a structure at the outlet of Van Houten Lake to block non-native trout passage upstream into the lake.

Project to reconstruct sections of formerly motorized routes on 10.5 combined miles of trail in the Berry, Janke, Hamby, and Pioneer creek drainages (closed by the February 2010 Record of Decision) to Non-motorized Class 3 Trail standards.

This project involves maintenance and construction on approximately 3.6 miles of existing motorized use trail. New construction would replace eroded sections with steep grades, unsafe switchbacks and move the trail away from wet areas.

Fencing a spring, installing a collection basin, 1000 ft of 1.25 inch pipeline, and 2 tan fiberglass stock water troughs with float valve shut-offs. The pipeline will cross a steam at one point. Purpose is to reduce riparian grazing impact.

Renew a 10-year special use permit for Royal Tine Outfitting and Guide School

We propose to use a mini excavator to restore 100 feet of stream bank washed out by flooding, do minor trail repair, and barricade a non-motorized route while the excavator is in use to bury a pipe for a water development to protect a spring.

This revised proposal includes removal of colonizing conifers on 3338 acres of riparian vegetation, mountain mahogany, and sagebrush/grass parks using slashing and burning, broadcast burning, or lop and scatter to meet Forest Plan objectives

We propose to issue a Private Road Special Use Permit authorizing the Nut Pine Lode LLC to access their private property. The project would including the repair, by the LLC, of a collapsed culvert.

This proposal is to remove of a portion of the small earthen dam at Lower Branham Lake in order to restore the outlet channel. Excavated material will be used to make minor repairs to the dam on Upper Brahnam Lake and the bridge will be replaced.

This proposal would authorize development of a spring water source with a headbox, pipeline, and two water tanks in the Little Galena pasture of the Galena allotment. Tanks would be placed 50 and 1400 ft from the source.

Proposal involves removal of hazard trees within falling distance of 45 miles of high-priority Forest System Roads on the Wisdom and Dillon Ranger Districts. Trees will be removed within a narrowly specified corridor using commercial timber sales.

Justin Hanninen of Butte, Montana has submitted a Plan of Operations to explore for minerals on unpatented mining claims located in T7N, R7W, section 36, approximately 8.5 miles northwest of Basin, Montana.

Proposal issue a Private Road Special Use Permit to Danny Villa and Lisa Jesse authorizing operation and maintenance of an existing road crossing NFS land to access private property.

Mr Monforton requests we renew a private road special use permit, authorized since 2001, for a mile behind a locked gate on FS Road #173. His property is surrounded by National Forest System lands.

This proposal is to issue a Private Road Special Use Permit to Danny Villa and Lisa Jesse for operation and maintenance of 160 feet of existing road across NFS land to access their private property.

We propose to cut Douglas-fir trees encroaching on 0.78 acres of riparian area to use as a barrier along Romy Creek. A strategic opening will funnel them to the historic road crossing and reduce trampling on about 60 yards of streambank.

Frank Antonioli of Butte has submitted a Plan of Operations (POO) to explore for minerals on unpatented mining claims located in T8N, R13W, section 6, approximately 10 miles north of Philipsburg, Montana.

We propose to harden an existing eroding livestock crossing a by installing grade control structures and using compacted gravel over cobble on approaches. Jackleg fences will keep stock in the crossing.

Proposal to construct by hand tools, a mile and a half of interpretive trail between the Riverview and Madison campgrounds. Interpretive material will explain land use over time, local geology, wilderness managment, and living with grizzly bears

Locate and construct approximately 12 miles of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (CDNST). The Forest Service proposes to construct a non-motorized trail to meet the intent of the CDNST Comprehensive Plan

Remove dead, dying, or structurally unsound trees determined to pose a hazard along several system roads on the Madison and Pintler Ranger Districts. Method of removal will likely involve commercial timber sales.

Originally proposed as a package named Madison FY12 Trails Projects package in 2012. This proposal now only involves the rerouting 5000 feet and maintenance on the rest of Meridian Trail 6019, open to hikers, bikers, stock and motorcycle riders.

Proposal to treat seven aspen units for a total of 160 acres to enhance the health and viability of aspen clones along the Lower Dry Creek road.

Construction of two 1.25 inch livestock pipelines and troughs. The Wall Creek Pipeline Extension is .5 miles long off an existing pipeline. Hyde Creek Pipeline extends 0.1 mile from a spring.

The proposed action is to bury 1600 feet of 1.5 inch plastic pipe, from the existing water tank in Section 6 to a new water tank located on BLM ground in Section 7. Approximately 1200? of the pipeline is located on National Forest.

Proposal would bury 3000’ of 1 ½” plastic pipe from the existing water tank (Section 15) to a new water tank on BLM land (Section 14). Approximately a 2800' of pipeline would be buried on National Forest.

The Lost Creek Trail is acessible from the Lost Creek State Park and the Warm Springs Road. The trail needs work to bring it up to trail standards. Originally proposed as Lost and Foster Creek trails. Decision affects only Lost Creek Trail.

This project involves maintenance and reconstruction along 3.7 miles of the existing trail tread in the Elkhorn Mountain Range. New trail tread shall be 48 inches in width. No changes in travel managment are proposed. The trail is open to ATVs.

The Montana 4x4 Association proposes to sponsor a statewide family ride July 24-29, 2012 on the Jefferson and Madison Ranger Districts. The Association would lead up to 15 vehicles on roads and one trail that are open to fullsize motorized vehicles.

The Noble Lake Dam was damaged in the spring of 2011 due to heavy runoff and ice plugging the spillway. The owners have proposed repair of the dam by restoring the structure to the original construction design parameters.

This project would remove the remaining streambank and vegetative material that sloughed into Mill Creek last year and stabilize the banks with rocks, root wads, and native plants to protect the existing bank from further erosion and scouring

Joel Silver of Butte, Montana has submitted a Plan of Operations (POO) to explore for minerals on unpatented mining claims. His proposal includes excavating eight placer exploration test pits using an excavator to test for valuable minerals.

Maintain and reconstruct 1 mile of Pole Canyon Trail #157 and 1 mile of Pyramid Trail #163.

Reconstruct two and a half miles of OHV trail along Slag-a-melt Creek to All Terrain Vechicle Trail Class 3 standards.

Reconstruct 3.5 miles of the Stone Lakes Trail to meet Motorcycle Trail Class 2 standards.

Relocate and construct 2 miles of trail on the upper portion of Trail 815 to connect with the CDNST and obliterate the old trail tread.

This project will reroute .55 of the 1.75 mile Maud S Canyon Trail onto National Forest Lands to provide a connection to a loop trail, reduce an unsafe grade, and prevent erosion. The East Ridge Foundation is a partner in the project.

Salvage harvest of dead and dying timber within the Rat Creek Fire (2007) perimeter. The project includes approximately 2,500 acres of salvage harvest and 10 miles of temporary road construction.

This proposal would relocate approximately 2,500 feet of Spring Creek Trail no. 7093 from private land to National Forest. Approximately 2300 feet of new trail would be constructed on National Forest.

Salvage of dead and dying lodgepole pine on about 400 acres with several aquatic projects to improve habitat conditions for westslope cutthroat trout.

The proposed action is to install a collection box at a spring source and pipe water to a 500 gallon livestock water trough via 500 to 700 feet of poly pipe 1.5 inches in diameter. The spring source would be fenced to protect it from trampling.

Replace five undersized culverts with bridges, or larger culverts to allow upstream movement for all life stages of fish and other aquatic organisms and pass projected 100 year flood events.

Commercial thinning of Douglas-fir and salvage lodgepole pine on 300 acres of National Forest System lands.

Cut down and slash non-merchantable lodgeploe pine trees in areas where they are overtopping aspen across 250 acres. Most trees that will be cut are less than 6 inches in diameter at breast height.

This project is proposed to enhance spawning and rearing habitat in Narrows Creek and an existing spring creek, by piping reservoir outlet flows about 2,800 feet down to critical spawning habitat. Some construction on the creek would be required.

Based on geological indicators, one specific site would be core drilled to determine if a mineral ore body exists. The results of this exploration would determine whether additional drilling, to define the ore body, would be needed.

This project would reroute 1.5 and reconstruct .5 miles of Norton Trail #95 from the terminus of Norton I to the forest boundary to move the trail away from the Creek and an unauthorized trail on private land.
