Salvage trees over 12 inches DBH that were killed in the Onion Mountain Fire of September 2014 on approximately 120 acres.

Re-issuance of up to 63 special use permits (SUPs) to outfitter/guides providing tour boat (motorized jet boat), fishing (motorized and drift boat), kayaking, livery services and raft trips on Lower Rogue & Illinois, Lobster-Blossom B & Confl - Nancy

Red Flat Nickel Corp. plans to drill 35 3-inch diameter holes to a depth of 50 feet to obtain core samples of minerals adjacent to existing roads. No new roads would be constructed. About 1200 feet of road would be brushed.

Provide backpacking trips for youth in groups of 12 along the Illinois River. From Briggs Creek Trailhead groups will backpack downstream for 2.5 miles, camp along the river and beaches (2 days), and return to trailhead on same route (2 days).

Repair four roads on Siskiyou Mountains, Wild Rivers, and High Cascades Ranger Districts.

The rope tow will be installed on Mt. Ashland, along the northern edge of the Tempest Run. The rope tow will allow users of the Terrain Park quick access back to the top for increased use.

Repair 9 damaged road sites. The repair work proposed, ranges from surface road repair and replacement of culverts to re-alignmnet of roads.

101 acres of sudden oak death treatment (hack and squirt, core Area treatment, outer boundary treatment) on the Gold Beach Ranger District.

US Cellular requests to remove their property from the multi-user Robinson Butte Communication Site. The on-site transformer that services PacifiCorp will continue to serve the other facility there.

This project is to upgrade the existing tower and other equipment to build out the radio infrastructure for the public safety agencies in Jackson County. The communication facility will enable emergency services to support public safety.

J. Herbert Stone Nursery plans to construct a 156foot long 30 foot wide greenhouse, which would provide 23,400 square feet of added capacity. This will help with reforestation efforts.

Restore safe public and employee access on arterial roads that were affected by the Slater Fire. Publicly accessible roads impacted by the Slater Fire are now exposed to an elevated risk from danger trees along affected roadways

37 acres of sudden oak death treatment (hack and squirt only) on the Gold Beach Ranger District

The Forest Service received a proposal from Day Wireless to expand an existing tele-communications site on Mount Ashland to increase communication services including essential emergency communications.

This project will improve forest health on approximately 400 acres by thinning overstocked trees, reducing ladder fuels, performing prescribed fire and removing off site pine.

The proposed action is to expand the existing paved trailhead parking at Thousand Springs Sno-Park by 0.38 acres to accommodate current and anticipated future use levels. Currently there are safety issues as overflow parking occurs on Highway 62.

This partial road construction and subsequent 5-year road use permit would authorize the Roseburg Forest Products company to partially reconstruct, access, and maintain the 5201 and 5201-080 NFS roads.

Rapid treatments of infected tanoak are needed to control immediate impacts and mitigate harm to important natural resources, including critical habit for Endangered Species Act-listed species.

The Stella project's objectives are to restore and reestablish forest structure and pattern, vegetation composition, and diversity, and riparian communities to conditions that are more resilient to natural disturbances.

Mt. Ashland will replace rope tow (existing lift) with a 150' long Sunkid "Magic Carpet" conveyor style surface lift.

Remove POC along FSR 5520 on either side of the road for 10 miles.

The intent of this project is to improve the safety of and extend the season for launching trailered boats into Fish Lake. By expanding the current boat ramp it will make the lake accessible during low water years. The ramp can be paved or rocked.

The Forest Service is proposing to amend the Land and Resource Management Plans (LRMP) for the Umpqua, Rogue River, and Winema National Forests for the proposed Pacific Connector Gas Pipeline.

Proposed action is to repair the multiple sites within the current road prism to restore traffic to the roadway, utilizing support from Emergency Repair of Federally Owned Roads(ERFO).

Site testing and replacement of the Rohn 45G guided tower currently located on Iron Mountain with a new three-legged freestanding tower.

Thinning and prescribed burning to promote vegetation diversity, preserve legacy pines and oaks, restore meadow habitat, and provide fire resiliency; decommission or storage of excess roads; fish passage improvement. Approx. 3500 acres affected.

Restore biological, physical, and chemical processes and functions to ensure the long-term ecological sustainability of the public lands in the Upper Applegate Watershed. This project is jointly proposed between BLM and FS.

Repair and maintenance of heavily used roads including danger tree removal over approx. 146 miles. Post-fire rehab activities on 4194 roadside acres impacted by high-intensity fire with repair of roads and trails, and replanting shrubs and trees.

Repair of North Bank Chetco River bridge superstructure and concrete pier

The proposed trail would connect the lower portion of the Minnow Creek Trail with the Burnt Timber trail, creating a loop for hikers, trail runners, and mountain bikers. This area has been heavily impacted by fire.

proposal to replace the existing 80' self-support tower at Robinson Butte with a 150' self-support tower; project will include a shared shelter and generator to minimize impact, provide improved coverage and accommodate multiple wireless carriers

Adding natural challenge features to the Upper Bull Gap Trail for approximately 1 mile. The trail begins at the Mt Ashland ski area parking lot, and ends at the junction of forest road 2080.

Using and maintaining an existing non-system road on NFS lands. SouthPort Timber Co. proposes to open, use and maintain 0.2 miles (1,056 feet) of existing road to access their private property. 20-term private road special use permit is recommended.

The forest wide sensitive plant habitat enhancement project encompasses 8 plant species located at 201 sub-populations totaling 634 acres.

SouthPort Timber Co. proposes to open, use and maintain approximately 0.2 miles (1,056 feet) of existing, non-system road to access their private property. No other access exists and this road was most likely used in the past.

The proposed action is to remove the 5 foot culvert, and all of the road fill within the floodplain of Boulder Creek and its tributary.

Construct about 330 feet of new road on Forest Service lands from the end of Forest Service Road 5201-200 to the private parcel in T32S, R13W, Section 16. Applicant requests permission to use and maintain the road for perpetual timber management.

Authorizes treatment of sudden oak death for vegetation infected by the non-native pathogen, Phytophthora ramorum. Treatment units that meet the project criteria may occur throughout the GBRD within several land use allocations.

The intent of this project is to reduce fuels, and increase resiliency of the stands through commercial, and mechanical thinning. Activity fuels may be either piled, or loped and scattered.

Authorize the installation of a buried cistern and waterline at a recreation residence (Hoyt, Lot1, Tract H, Block B) to provide water for the residence. The system would be buried behind the already permitted outbuilding.

Provide 1/2 day, 2/3 day, and full day guided inflatable kayak and raft trips on the Applegate River. Put in would be just below Applegate Dam where Country Road 859 crosses the Applegate River.

Identifying, marking, and removing roadside conifers, in the East Fork Illinois Watershed, to be used for stream restoration. Trees measuring 15" to 30" in diameter, located in over stocked stands near stream projects would be used.

Provide 2 to 4 day guided hiking and running trips along the Siskiyou Crest on the Pacific Crest Trail, starting from Mt Ashland and ending at Cook and Green Pass. Group size will be up to 15 people. Camping will be at existing and dispersed sites.

AT&T proposing to install a fiber optic line at Highway 140 near Fish Lake for 4.3 miles to the top of Robinson Butte communications site. The fiber optic line will be placed in conduit and will follow an existing, authorized electrical right-of-way

Authorize the use of modern pesticides for use in the JHS Nursery's integrated pest management program to improve effectiveness, reduce environmental impacts, and increase worker and public health and safety.

Salvage logging, reforestation and construction of fuel managment zones, meadow restoration, road stabilization and road decommissioning.

Proposed treatments to reduce hazardous fuel loadings around Perks Cabin to create a fuel break to protect the historical administrative site, enhancement of wildlife habitat, timbered stands, range conditions, and protect range improvements

Red Flat Nickel Corp. plans to drill 59 3-inch diameter holes to a depth of 50 feet to obtain core samples of minerals in Curry County, Oregon. Equipment and personnel would be transported and removed via helicopter.

The goal is to improve safety along Forest Service road 3300 for public and Forest Service employees. Danger trees that have the potential to fall onto the roadway will be felled and removed within approximately 200 feet on either side.

This is a renewal of an existing special use permit for sewage retention ponds on NFS for willow lake campgrounds and willow lake resort. They are permitted by ODEQ. The permit would be requested for a 20 year term.

Reissuance of a special use permit for a waterline for domestic use. This waterline runs underneath the parking lot of the Powers Ranger District.

The project will replace a culvert that is currently a barrier to juvenile anadromous fish on 3348 Road (M.P. 17) along the Powers to Glendale route.

Grazing on federal lands will be evaluated. This effort would ensure updated information is provided for the sustained health of rangeland and forest ecosystems.

Previously known as Tracy Placer Mining Project (#9992). Prepare Supplemental EIS and environmental review of proposed Plan of Operations for placer mining less than 5 acres in the Sucker Creek watershed.

Recommend the Secretary of the Interior withdraw from location and entry under mining laws about 101,022 acres of NFS and BLM lands, subject to valid existing rights, for a period of 5 years in aid of legislation (HR682/S346).

Authorizes treatment of sudden oak death for vegetation infected by non-native pathogen, Phytophthora ramorum. Treatment includes ~ 8 sites across ~ 122 acres in Pistol R, Wheeler Cr, Little Emily Cr, Winchuck R, Deer Cr, & Little Emily Cr watersheds

Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has requested authorization to extract and crush pitrun cinders from approx. 5 acres of an existing quarry for use as a sanding aggregate to improve traction along OR-140, OR-62, and Big Elk Road.

Reconstruct inlet to an off-channel pond to provide consistent flow of water from mainstem Bitter Lick Creek channel. Reconfigure four legacy instream structures that currently impair movement of juvinile anadromous fish.

Construction of 3.6 miles of an aerial fiber interconnect on forest lands within an existing Pacific Power and Light (PP&L) easement.

The proposed project focuses on salvage within the 13,626 acres of matrix that incurred 50-100% canopy cover loss during the Chetco Bar Fire.

Permit to conduct guided kayaking trips on the Chetco River between Boulder Creek and S. Fork Chetco River. Authorizes 80 priority-use days per year; limits group size to 8 clients plus 2 guides per trip.

Prescribed burning (some Spring prep burning, with all units burned in fall) on up to 6,450 acres to improve wildlife habitat (improve quantity and quality of forage) and maintain current low fuel loading in project areas.

Renewal of existing Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative, Inc. power line special use permits and incorporation of amendments into one authorization, including an operations and maintenance plan. No new construction or ground disturbance would occur.

A collaborative partnership between Forest Service, BLM, USFWS and ODA to introduce Fritillaria gentneri into oak habitat in the Shan Ck area. A total of 4-8 plots, planted with pickaxe or shovel. No vegetation will be removed in planting.

As part of a grant from Department of Energy the Forest Service proposes to construct a 500.5-kilowatt solar array, covering approx. 1.2 acres, at the nursery site. The life expectancy of the array exceeds 20 years.

Variably thin up to 350 acres of dense, naturally-regenerated conifer forest, that is 50 to 80 years old. The goal is to enhance the development of late-successional conditions for the benefit of old-growth related species.

Supplement to the Motorized Vehicle Use on the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest EIS.

BLM submitted a special use permit request for use of a 317 ft section of road on FS land.

Renewal of a permit for an existing distribution feeder line and single phase distribution line for a 50 year term. There will be no ground disturbance associated with this renewal.

Seven buildings constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps on L Street in Grants Pass, Oregon. This compound operated as the Siskiyou National Forest Supervisor's office warehouse. This property became underutilized in 2007.

A decision memo is being prepared to authorize renewal of 4 existing special use authorizations: 2 power lines, 1 natural gas line, and 1 telephone line at the J. Herbert Stone Nursery. The permit would be issued for a 20 year term.

Decommissioning, stormproofing and stream crossing upgrades to legacy roads and trails within the Sucker Creek 5th field watershed.

Install a trail bridge across Frog Lake Creek on road 3313.100. The bridge would be approximately 42 feet long and 68 inches wide which would be wide enough for all-terrain-vehicles as well as non-motorized users but not full-sized vehicles.

Guided commercial outfitter/guiding service for rafting/paddling use on the Illinois River from March 1 thru June 30. Put in site is at Miami Bar below McCaleb's Ranch. Take out will be at the confluence of the Rogue River at Lower Oak Flat.

DaKuBeTeDe trail, west side of Applegate lake needs to be rerouted. Total reroutes would be approximately 200%u2019 in length and would follow Forest Service Trail Design Parameters for a class 2 trail with a tread width of approximately 24 inches.

Foster Creek Quarry is an existing quarry that the Forest Service is proposing to authorize a new operator to remove 4,000 cubic yards of clay per year for up to five years.

Incorporate approximately .9 mile of trail on Mount Ashland as part of the National Forest System trail network by signing the trail and adding the trail to maps, using existing ski runs, old road beds and the existing trail bed where possible.

Site identified for this project are either low use, or already closed sites. This decommissioning and removal is part of the recreation and facilities master plan and will decrease the back log of deferred maintenance.

Renewal of nine existing expired special use permits. Re-authorization includes following uses: water transmission lines, tramways, driveways, and water storage facilities. No new construction or ground disturbance would occur.

The project would remove a legacy channel spanning diversion dam (~3inch in height) at Palmer Creek, Siskiyou Mountains Ranger District. The dam is not currently used for water diversion.

Because the 1407-150 is closed due to a large slide, South Coast Lumber is requesting access their land for fire salvage through an alternate route. This is in T39S R12W in the north half of sec 6. Used only during dry periods. Not considered public.

Murphy Timber Investments is proposing to build approximately 850 feet of temporary road and a landing to facilitate salvage of fire-damaged trees from their lands.

Provide volunteer service for basic maintenance and repairs at the Willow Prairie Horse Camp. Maintenance repairs would include maintenance and repairs to the horse camp and associated authorized trail systems.

Renewal of 32 special use permits to maintain and operate water transmission pipelines on the Rogue River-Siskiyou NF.

The permit renewal authorizes the holders special use permits for operating and maintaining existing water pipelines, for up to a 20 year term.

Four existing or expired special use permits for powerlines are up for renewal. These expired permits would be authorized for 20-year renewal terms. No new construction or additional ground disturbance is being authorized with this action.

reissuance of three permits: two located on High Cascades, one for a 4-wire suspension fence and the other for maintaining precipitation gauges. And one for maintenance of multiple weather station/SNOTEL sites across the forest.

Two expired special use permits for buildings are up for reauthorization. Expired permits would be reauthorized for 20-year renewal terms. No new construction or additional ground disturbance is being authorized with this action.

Reauthorization of a permit for using and maintaining an existing road that crosses NFS lands to allow access to private property.

Re-issuance of two special use permits for access roads. The roads are already existing and access private property.

Danger Tree removal along roadsides that were affected by 2017 fires.

The project would authorize mining a sulfur enriched clay mineral deposit (epithermal argillite) on approximately 5 acres of land for up to 10 years. There would be no vegetation removal.

SOD eradication treatments at six confirmed sites. Treatment entails injecting herbicide into tanoak to prevent tanoak sprouts on approximately 80 acres. Additional treatment entail cutting, piling, and burning known infected and adjacent tanoaks.

Replace the existing 450 foot long steel guide beam; current boat dock attaches to with a 2-foot by 4-foot concrete guide that a new ADA accessible boat dock will attach to. All work will occur on existing concrete boat ramp during low water period.

Variable density and radial thinning to remove encroaching Douglas-fir, white fir, and dense understory around large old trees, followed by underburning.

A fence (exclosure) will be placed at Alex Hole to exclude livestock access to the riparian area. An exclosure will improve riparian and watershed conditions. The exclosure will be designed using let-down features and will be placed seasonally.

Mt. Ashland Ski Area proposes to remodel the main ski lodge. Changes to the exterior include enclosing the Poma and Juliet decks, remodeling the inside of the lodge to accommodate the increasing number of guests. No new ground disturbing activities

Mitigation of identified danger trees along Forest Service road 23, for public and employee safety. Trees that are identified and mitigation may be removed, where management direction allows and it is done in an environmentally responsible manner

Install instream log and boulder structures remove fish passage barriers to improve habitat quality for resident trout.

Reauthorization of current existing special use permits to use and maintain access roads for access to private property or for commercial use.

Purpose is to re-issue a special use permit for operating and maintain a sewage collection system across the J. Herbert Stone Nursery.

Renew existing special use permit to facilitate continued study/analysis on proposed Pacific Connector Gas Pipeline right-of-way. No new improvements outside existing survey areas are authorized with permit renewal.

This project includes replacement of the existing water distribution system at the Gold Beach Ranger Station.

Amend the Rogue River and Siskiyou Forest Land and Resource Management Plans by adding aminopyralid to the list of approved herbicides that may be considered for use in projects to control invasive plants.

Renew 1 existing, expired, powerline permit for PacifiCorp, Willow Lake, Fish Lake, and Robinson Butte areas AND Renew and combined into 1 telephone line permit CenturyLink%u2019s four existing expired permits.

Thinning of established plantations across the High Cascades Ranger District

Operations and maintenance fiber optic telecom line. Installation of new fiber optic line (10.4 miles). 5.4 miles current utility poles will be used. For 5 miles new pole installation will take place. No new access roads are proposed.

Allow use of 1/3 mile of maintenance level 1 NFS road and skid processed logs over 250 feet of NFS lands.

Renewal of a permit for a 50-year term for an existing underground electrical distribution line near Mt. Ashland Ski Resort on USDA Forest Service lands. No new construction or ground disturbance would occur.

Proposed issuance of up to 15 special use permits for shuttling of people and cars from Galice to Foster Bar on the Rogue River via several routes and for shuttles along FS Road 1376 along the Chetco River.

The project would address several deferred maintenance items to the Union Creek Water System, including: replacement of the waterline, replacement of components at the Union Creek and Farewell Bend campgrounds, and the USFS Administrative Compound.

Placer mine, removing mineral deposit from an ancient channel (underground). Project would remove approximately 40 cubic yards of material per year. Removal process would primarily pick and shovel, using a winch to move material mid-slope.

Re-issuance of 26 special-use permits for outfitting and guiding on the Chetco River.

Restoration of aquatic ecosystems and water quality across the Wild Rivers RD.

Apply recommended stand density reduction thinning to ponderosa pine dominated stands to sustain large ponderosa and sugar pine trees, increase stand vigor, and promote pine regeneration.

Precommercial thinning and fuels treatments on 55 acres of the 25-year-old Strongarm Plantation consisting of mixed conifer and hardwoods which range from 1 to 12 inches in diameter, with a focus on pine/oak restoration.

Reconstruction of portions of the Sucker Cr mainstem channel, placement of large wood structures, est. of riparian forest community, and tree acquisition for large wood structures.

Partial cut exisiting stands to promote large-diameter trees and maintain pine-oak habitat on approximately 985 acres;no regen harvest or new system road construction; objective is to increase vigor and growth of mid-seral stands.

Commercial thinning, root disease treatments and planting on approx. 3,736 acres of candidate stands regenerated in the 1920s-40s and located on Matrix under NWFP. Includes 72 treatment units using ground-based and aerial logging systems.

Construct 150ft tower (19x19 ft base) and ice bridge connecting new tower to communications shelter; utilize 2 previously disturbed staging areas; replace 93 ft of an existing underground electric distribution line; coverage for 5 existing lines.

Restoration of aquatic ecosystems and water quality across the Siskiyou Mountains RD.

This project is designed to improve stand conditions, diversity, density, and structure to increase forest resiliency and overall forest health; provide a sustainable supply of timber products; and reduce the risk to forest resources from wildfire.

Placer mining Plan of Operations for exploration and sampling.

Request the Secretary of the Interior withdraw from location and entry under mining laws about 5,610 acres of FS land within the Chetco Wild and Scenic River, subject to valid existing rights, for a period of 5 years in aid of legislation.

Commercially guided kayaking trips on the Wild & Scenic Chetco River and through the Kalmiopsis Wilderness. Trips are up to 12 people for 5 days and 1-4 trips per year between June and Sept. No pack animals & leave-no-trace ethics apply.

Decommission or convert to hiking trails up to 16 miles of existing roads within the wilderness. Identify locations for future hiking trails. Relocate gravel stockpiled in the wilderness to outside of the wilderness.

Sale of the property under the Forest Service Facility Realignment and Enhancement Act of 2005 (P.L. 109-54).

Environmental review of a Proposed Plan of Operations for placer mining up to 71 acres along the main stem of the Chetco River.

The Forest Service was a cooperating agency, assisting the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in that Agency's geothermal leasing analysis and decision. The BLM issued a record of decision on 12/17/2008.

Commercially thin approximately 600 acres of natural stands less than 110 years of age that are located within lands designated as matrix and riparian reserve.

Planned removal of blowdown material over approximately 235 acres.

Install a self-contained vault toilet near the Wildhorse Lookout site in Curry County, Oregon, T36S, R12W, Section 7. Building will be historically appropriate to match Lookout structures.

Environmental review of a Proposed Plan of Operations for developing a mining adit.

Project would provide NEPA analysis of various aquatic restoration activities that are contained within the existing Aquatic Restoration Biological Opinion (ARBO).

Treatment of meadows through fire and cutting to remove or girdle encroaching trees
