Geotechnical study sites for the proposed flood retarding structures are called Tusayan Pines FSR and 10X FSR, both are east of Tusayan, AZ. The 10X FRS will be located on private land holdings but will create a ponding area extending into the Forest. The sites are located within Township 30N, Range 2E, Section 24 and Township 30N, Range 3E, and Sections 19, 20, 29, and 30. · Coconino, Arizona

The Town of Tusayan and Coconino County Flood Control District propose to conduct geotechnical investigations of underlying geology and soil conditions of proposed sites for a flood retarding structure and ponding area within National Forest System Lands of the Tusayan Ranger District.
